This was the first song I recorded that involved more than just hitting record and playing something. The first time I actually sat down on purpose to really write and record a whole song. Everything before this was just goofing around. The synthesizers back in that day were monophonic... they could only play one note at a time. My tape recorder was rigged so I could do multiple passes and play different parts. I had to use 5 passes in this song to get all the parts I wanted in it. This isn't a very good song. But I was very proud of it at the time. And people have told me it's ridiculously good for a 6 year old! |
